101 Networking Nuggets - Don’t Quit
The question comes to us quite frequently. I am thinking about not renewing my (chamber, BNI, other business referral) membership, what do you think I should do?
As experts in the field we are thankful that they are asking us and not their good buddy Ralph (no offense Ralph) for advice concerning their business. Because networking can be better than any other source of promotion for your business if you do it right.However, if you quit you can’t recover from that unless you rejoin.
Understand that quiting is like closing early with customers headed to your business, or worse yet like walking to the front door and turning the sign to closed as the customers reach for the door.
If you quit you will not discover that networking always works. If you quit you will always pay more for your customers than everyone else. If you quit - you lose.
Our advice - never quit networking. Even when you have plenty of business - never quit networking. No one knows what tomorrow may bring.
